Judy & Barry Melville
Neyla Photography was born out of our love of creativity, imagination and sharing precious moments. We are a brother and sister team that strive to offer unique, highly-specialised photography, retouching and creative services.
After decades of working for some of New Zealand’s largest advertising agencies and fashion retailers, often together, we chose to forge our own path and turn our individual passions into a business and service that we could share with everyone. Away from the deadlines and pressure of corporate environments, we can take our time and give our full attention to the client and the work we produce.
Barry has worked as a designer, retoucher, digital artist and photographer all his life. His exceptional skills from doing high-end retouching and image manipulation have given him the insight and creativity to concept, compose and capture photographic images that need minimal post work.
Judy has worked for over 20 years as a graphic designer, finished artist and studio manager. From brochures to billboards, she's worked across every format there is. From a child, she has loved all things creative and crafty and is in her element constructing scenes and props. She also loves to design customised books and posters from the photography.
